Instructions

- Ribbing (rows 1-8): Round 1-2: *k2, p2* repeat from * to * around. Continue this pattern for 8 rounds. This creates a stretchy opening.
- Main body (rows 9-27): Round 9: Change to white yarn. Knit 1 round.
Round 10: *k3, kfb*, repeat from * to * around (40 stitches) - you will have 50 stitches now.
Round 11-20: Knit in the round.
Round 21: Begin colorwork - use white yarn to knit the design as follows (repeat the pattern every 10 stitches):
1st 10: *k1 (white), k1 (red)*
2nd 10: *k2 (white), k1 (red)*
3rd 10: *k1 (red), k1 (white)* Continue until you make around 5 rounds of colorwork.
Round 22-27: Knit in red. - Shaping (row 28): Round 28: *k2tog* around (25 stitches).
Round 29: Knit in the round.
Round 30: *k2tog* around (13 stitches). - Finishing: Cut your yarn, leaving a long tail. Thread the tail through the remaining stitches and pull to close. Weave in all ends securely.
- Embellishment: Sew on a button to the front for added flair or leave as is!
