Instructions

Base

1. Using green yarn, make a magic circle and ch 2 (counts as first dc). Work 11 dc into the circle, join with sl st to top of ch 2. (12 dc)
2. Ch 2, 2 dc in each dc around, join. (24 dc)
3. Ch 2, *dc in next dc, 2 dc in next dc*, repeat around, join. (36 dc)
4. Ch 2, *dc in next 2 dc, 2 dc in next dc*, repeat around, join. (48 dc)
5. Ch 2, *dc in next 3 dc, 2 dc in next dc*, repeat around, join. (60 dc)

Body

1. Switch to cream yarn. Ch 1, sc in each dc around, join. (60 sc)
2. Begin granny square pattern using cream. Join as you go to form a continuous piece.
3. Each square consists of 4 rows:
   • Row 1: Ch 4, join to form a ring. Ch 1, **puff st, ch 1** 4 times, join.
   • Row 2: Ch 3, 2 dc in ch-1 space, ch 1, (3 dc in next ch-1 space, ch 1) repeat for each ch-1 space, join.
