Cozy Striped Knit Scarf Pattern

Materials:

• Yarn: Bulky weight yarn in two colors (approximately 200g in brown, 100g in grey)
• Knitting needles: Size 9 (5.5mm)
• Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
• Scissors

Gauge:

12 stitches and 16 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch

Abbreviations:

• CO - Cast on
• K - Knit
• P - Purl
• BO - Bind off

Instructions:

1. CO 30 stitches with brown yarn.
2. Start with ribbing section:
   Row 1: *K2, P2* across the row.
   Row 2: *P2, K2* across the row.
3. Repeat rows 1-2 for 4 inches.
4. Switch to stockinette section:
   Row 1: K all stitches.
   Row 2: P all stitches.
5. Continue in stockinette stitch for 10 inches, alternating stripes:
   • 4 rows in grey
   • 6 rows in brown
6. Repeat the striping pattern until scarf measures 60 inches long.
7. End with a ribbing section:
   Repeat ribbing instructions (rows 1-2) for another 4 inches.
8. BO all stitches in pattern.
9. Weave in the ends using a tapestry needle.
