Materials Needed

• Worsted weight yarn in black, white, orange, and pink
• Crochet hook size G/6 (4.0 mm)
• Yarn needle
• Scissors

• ch: chain
• sc: single crochet
• inc: increase (2 sc in one stitch)
• sl st: slip stitch

Pattern

Body

With white yarn:

1. Magic ring, 6 sc in ring. (6 sts)
2. 2 sc in each st around. (12 sts)
3. (Sc, inc) around. (18 sts)
4. (2 sc, inc) around. (24 sts)
5. (3 sc, inc) around. (30 sts)

Head and Back

With black yarn:

1. Magic ring, 6 sc in ring. (6 sts)
2. 2 sc in each st around. (12 sts)
3. (Sc, inc) around. (18 sts)
4. (2 sc, inc) around. (24 sts)
5. Fasten off, leave a long tail for sewing.
6. Position black circle partly overlapping the top half of the white body and sew together.

Feet

Make 2 with orange yarn:

1. Ch 4, 2 sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next, 4 sc in last, working on the other side, sc in next, 2 sc in last. (10 sts)
2. Fasten off, leave a tail for sewing.
3. Sew to the bottom of the body.

Beak

With orange yarn:

1. Magic ring, 6 sc in ring. (6 sts)
2. Fasten off, sew onto the middle of the face.

Wings

Make 2 with black yarn:

1. Ch 5, sc in 2nd ch from hook and each ch across. (4 sts)
2. Fasten off, sew sides of the body.

Scarf

With pink yarn:

1. Ch 40, sc in each ch across.
2. Fasten off, wrap around neck and sew ends neatly.

Bow

With pink yarn:

1. Ch 6, 2 sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each of next 3 ch, 4 sc in last ch, turn to work on the opposite side, sc in each of next 3 ch, 2 sc in last ch. (14 sts)
2. Fasten off, sew to the head.
