Materials Needed:

• Worsted weight cotton yarn (Color: Olive Green)
• Crochet hook size H/8 (5mm)
• Scissors
• Tapestry needle
• Wooden bead (optional)
• Potted plant (fits a pot about 7” wide)

Abbreviations:

• ch = chain
• sc = single crochet
• dc = double crochet
• sl st = slip stitch
• st(s) = stitch(es)

Instructions:

Base:

1. Begin with a magic circle, ch 1, work 6 sc into the circle, join with sl st to first sc. (6 sts)
2. Round 1: Ch 1, 2 sc in each st around, join with sl st. (12 sts)
3. Round 2: Ch 1, *sc in next st, 2 sc in next st*, repeat from * to * around, join with sl st. (18 sts)
4. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Body Loops (Make 8):

1. Attach yarn to any st on the base, ch 60.
2. Row 1: Dc in 4th ch from hook, dc across. (57 dc)
3. Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.
4. Attach each loop to opposite sides of the circle, evenly spacing them out.

Top Section:

1. Join yarn at the top of any loop.
2. Row 1: *Ch 3, sc into next loop*, continue around in a spiral fashion.
3. Repeat until you have 3 rows.
4. Insert the wooden bead by threading onto the yarn before finishing.
5. Fasten off, and weave the tail through top stitches to create a loop for hanging.

Tassel:

1. Cut several 12” strands of yarn.
2. Fold strands in half and attach them to the base ring using a lark’s head knot.
3. Trim tassel ends to desired length.
