Crochet Textured Twisted Stitch Mitten Duo

Materials:

• Worsted weight yarn (approx. 200 yards)
• Crochet hook size H (5.0 mm)
• Scissors
• Tapestry needle
• Stitch markers (optional)

Gauge: 12 stitches and 16 rows = 4 inches in double crochet

Sizes: Adult (adjustable)

Pattern Instructions:

Left Mitten:

1. Chain 30 to start.
2. Row 1: Work 1 DC in each chain across (30 DC). Turn.
3. Row 2: Chain 3 (counts as first DC). Work 1 DC in same stitch, *skip 2, 3 DC in next stitch, skip 2, 1 DC in next stitch; repeat from * to end (30 DC). Turn.
4. Row 3: Repeat Row 2 for 10 more rows to create the body of the mitten.
5. Row 14: Begin thumb gusset. Chain 1, work 6 DC in first 6 stitches. Turn.
6. Row 15: Chain 3, work 1 DC in the first DC, 2 DC in the next (increasing). Work 2 DC in each end DC until you have 12 stitches. Turn.
7. Row 16: Work even in DC for 5 rows (12 DC). Then, fasten off.

Right Mitten:

1. Repeat left mitten instructions, but reverse thumb placement.

Cuffs:

1. Join yarn to the bottom edge of the mitten. Chain 10 for the cuff.
2. Row 1: Work 1 SC in each chain back to the mitton (10 SC).
3. Row 2-10: Turn, chain 1, work in BLO only for texture (10 SC). Turn.
4. Fasten off and weave in all ends.
