Insert hook in next stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop (4 loops on hook). Yarn over and pull through all 4 loops on hook. This creates a decrease of 2 stitches.

Foundation Chain

With Color A (Deep Teal), chain 142. This chain should be loose and even. If you tend to chain tightly, use a hook one size larger for the foundation chain only.

Continue repeating Row 2, changing colors as follows. To change color: On the last yarn over of the last stitch of a row, pull through the new color. Cut the old color, leaving a 6-inch tail to weave in later.

Finishing

After completing Row 90, fasten off by cutting the yarn, leaving a 6-inch tail. Pull the tail through the last loop on your hook. Weave in all ends using a yarn needle, being careful to follow the path of the stitches so the ends are invisible.

Block the blanket gently to open up the ripple stitches and even out the edges. To block, soak the blanket in cool water with a small amount of wool wash (if using wool) or mild detergent.
