Crochet Elegant Boho Tassel Fringe Bag Free Pattern

Materials Needed:

• Yarn: Medium weight cotton yarn in beige
• Crochet Hook: Size H/8 (5.0 mm)
• Yarn needle
• Scissors

Abbreviations:

• ch: chain
• sc: single crochet
• dc: double crochet
• sl st: slip stitch
• st(s): stitch(es)

Instructions:

Body of the Bag:

1. Start with a magic circle. Ch 3 (counts as dc), 11 dc into ring, sl st to top of ch 3 to join. (12 dc)
2. Round 2: Ch 3, dc in same st, 2 dc in each st around, sl st to top of ch 3. (24 dc)
3. Round 3: Ch 3, *dc in next st, 2 dc in next st* around, sl st to top of ch 3. (36 dc)
4. Continue increasing in this manner until you have a circle with a diameter of approximately 14 inches.
5. Once the circle is complete, stop increasing and continue to work in even rounds of dc until the piece measures 10 inches from the center.

Creating the Diamond Design:

1. Fold the circle in half to form a semicircle.
2. Using sc, join the sides of the semicircle to form the base of the bag. The top remains open.
3. Work sc along the top edge evenly.
4. Create diamond pattern by skipping 3 sts, then work 7 dc in the next st, skip 3 sts, sl st in next, repeat across.

Adding Tassels:

1. Cut 12-inch strands of yarn.
2. Attach tassels by folding a strand in half, inserting the hook from front to back at the bottom edge of the bag, pull through a loop of the strand, and pull the ends through the loop.
3. Repeat along the bottom edge.

Strap:
