Materials
- Medium Weight Yarn (Beige and Pink)
- Crochet Hook Size H/8 (5 mm)
- Scissors
- Tapestry Needle
Instructions
Sole
Make 2 (for each slipper):
- With beige yarn, ch 21.
- Round 1: 2 sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 18 chs, 6 sc in last ch; continue on the other side of the foundation ch, sc in next 18 chs, 4 sc in last ch; join with sl st to first sc. (48 sts)
- Round 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in first st, sc in next 20 sts, 2 sc in each of the next 6 sts, sc in next 20 sts, 2 sc in each of the last 4 sts; join. (60 sts)
- Round 3: Ch 1, sc in each st around; join. (60 sts)
- Round 4: Ch 1, sc in each st around; join. Fasten off.
Top and Bow
Using pink yarn:
- Ch 25, join with sl st to form a ring. Check width against slipper for size, adjust chain length as necessary.
- Row 1: Ch 2 (does not count as hdc), hdc in each ch around; join. (25 sts)
- Rows 2-8: Ch 2, hdc in each st around; join. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
- Fold the strip accordion-style and sew the folds together to form a bow shape, using the long tail.
- Wrap a short piece of yarn tightly around the center of the bow and tie securely.
Finishing
- Place the bow on the top of each slipper and sew it securely in place using the tails and a tapestry needle.
- Weave in all ends.
