Gauge

18 sts and 10 rows = 4 inches in lace pattern.

Approximately 60 inches wide x 30 inches long

Abbreviations

• ch: chain
• dc: double crochet
• st: stitch
• sp: space
• sc: single crochet
• tr: treble crochet

Instructions

Starting with the Center Panel

1. Ch 3 (counts as dc), and work 4 dc into the ring. Turn.
2. Row 1: Ch 3, dc in same st, ch 3, dc in next 4 sts, dc in top of ch 3. Turn.
3. Row 2: Ch 3, dc in same st, dc in each st to ch 3 sp, (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in ch 3 sp, dc in each st across, dc in top of ch 3. Turn.
4. Repeat Row 2 until you have 180 rows or desired length.

Lace Border

1. Join yarn at the bottom corner of the shawl.
2. Row 1: Ch 4 (counts as tr), tr in next st, *ch 1, skip next st, tr in next st*; repeat from * to * across. Turn.
3. Row 2: Ch 4, *skip next st, tr in next st*; repeat from * to * across. Turn.
4. Continue until lace border measures approximately 10 rows.
5. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Finishing

Block the shawl to open up the lace pattern and shape it to the finished dimensions.
