Crochet Fun Gamer Controller Eye Mask Free Pattern

Materials Needed

  • Yarn: Worsted weight in Gray, Black, Red, Yellow, Green, and Blue
  • Crochet Hook: 4.0 mm (G/6)
  • Tapestry needle
  • Scissors
  • Elastic band

Abbreviations

  • ch: chain
  • sc: single crochet
  • st: stitch
  • sl st: slip stitch
  • inc: increase (2 sc in one stitch)
  • dec: decrease (single crochet two together)

Instructions

Mask Base

  1. With Gray yarn, ch 42.
  2. Row 1: Sc in second ch from hook and each ch across, turn. (41 sc)
  3. Rows 2-16: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn.
  4. Row 17: Ch 1, sc in first 20 sts, dec, sc in last 19 sts, turn. (40 sc)
  5. Row 18: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn. (40 sc)
  6. Row 19: Ch 1, dec over first 2 sts, sc in next 36 sts, dec over last 2 sts, turn. (38 sc)
  7. Row 20: Ch 1, sc in each st across. (38 sc)
  8. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Outer Border

  1. With Black yarn, join at any end st of the mask base.
  2. Round 1: Ch 1, sc evenly around the entire perimeter of the mask. Join with sl st to the first sc. (Edge rounds may vary based on tension, aim to make them around evenly spaced.)
  3. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Controller Pad (Left Side)

  1. With Black yarn, ch 10.
  2. Row 1: Sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across, turn. (9 sc)
  3. Rows 2-3: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn.
  4. Round 4: Ch 1, sc around the entire edge of the pad. Join with sl st to the first sc.
  5. Fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing.
  6. Sew the pad to the left side of the mask.

Buttons

Make 1 each in Red, Yellow, Green, Blue:

  1. With chosen yarn color, ch 2.
  2. Round 1: Work 6 sc in the second ch from hook. Join with sl st to the first sc.
  3. Round 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in each st around. Join with sl st. (12 sc)
  4. Fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing.
  5. Sew each button to the right side of the mask in a cross formation as shown in the picture, following the color placement.

Final Assembly

  1. Cut a piece of elastic to fit comfortably around your head.
  2. Sew each end of the elastic to either side of the mask using remaining yarn.
  3. Ensure all ends are securely woven in.
