Materials
- Yarn: Bulky weight, dark green yarn (approximately 300 yards)
- Crochet Hook: Size K/10.5 (6.5 mm)
- Tapestry needle
- Scissors
- Stitch markers
Abbreviations
- ch: chain
- sc: single crochet
- dc: double crochet
- st(s): stitch(es)
- rep: repeat
- RS: right side
Gauge
8 sts and 6 rows = 4 inches in double crochet stitch
Instructions
Triangle Scarf
- Ch 4, sl st to first ch to form a ring.
- Row 1: Ch 2 (does not count as st), 3 dc into ring, turn. (3 sts)
- Row 2: Ch 2, 2 dc in first st, 1 dc in next st, 2 dc in last st, turn. (5 sts)
- Row 3: Ch 2, 2 dc in first st, dc in each st across to last st, 2 dc in last st, turn. (7 sts)
- Rep Row 3 until the piece measures about 60 inches along the longest edge or until the desired length is reached.
Adding Tassels
- Cut 30 strands of yarn, each 12 inches long, to make tassels.
- Divide into groups of 10 strands. Fold each group in half and attach one to each of the three points of the triangle.
- Trim tassels to ensure they are even.
Finishing
- Weave in all ends using a tapestry needle.
- Gently block the scarf to shape it properly.
