  • Tapestry needle for weaving in ends

Gauge:

Sizes:

This pattern includes instructions for Small (Medium, Large). Adjust as needed for sizing.

Instructions:

  1. Foundation Row: Chain 40 (45, 50) stitches.
  2. Row 1: In the second chain from the hook, work 1 single crochet (sc). Continue with 1 sc in each chain across. (38, 43, 48 sc).
  3. Row 2: Turn, chain 1. Work 1 sc in the first stitch. *Chain 2, skip 2 stitches, work 1 sc in the next stitch.* Repeat from * to * until the end of the row. Finish with a total of 19 (22, 25) stitches.
  4. Row 3-12: Repeat Row 2 until the piece measures approximately 10 (11, 12) inches from the foundation row.
  5. Shaping the Armholes: Once the desired length is reached, you’ll start to form the armholes. Decrease by skipping the first and last 3 stitches of each row while continuing the lattice pattern.
  6. Row 13-18: Continue working until the piece reaches the underarm area measurements (approx. 6-8 inches).
  7. Join Front and Back: Make a second identical piece and place them together. Use a slip stitch to join them at the side seams for about 4 inches under the armhole area.
  8. Neckline: Finish the neckline by single crocheting in the top stitches around the neckline for added firmness and design.
  9. Weave in any loose ends using a tapestry needle.

Finishing:

Block your piece lightly to shape it, if desired. Your new textured crop top is ready to be worn!

Care Instructions:

Hand wash in cold water, lay flat to dry.

Happy Crocheting!
