The Moonlit Meadow Market Bag: A Free Crochet Pattern for a Textured, Bohemian Drawstring Pouch

This isn't your average market bag; it's a textured, boho-chic drawstring pouch that combines the airy elegance of a netted stitch with the cozy warmth of a chunky cotton blend. Perfect for carrying your latest yarn project or a handful of farmer's market finds, this pattern is a delightful, quick make that feels both modern and timeless. Whether you're a confident beginner or an intermediate crocheter, you'll love how this bag comes together in just a few evenings.

Materials Needed

  • Yarn: Lion Brand 24/7 Cotton (worsted weight; 100% mercerized cotton; 100g/186yds) in 2 colors:
    • Color A (Mushroom - a warm taupe): Approximately 1 skein
    • Color B (Sage - a muted green): Approximately 1 skein
  • Hook: Size H/8 (5.0 mm) crochet hook
  • Other: Yarn needle for weaving in ends, scissors
  • Gauge: 14 dc x 8 rows = 4 inches in double crochet. Gauge is not critical for this project, but consistency will affect the final size.
