Beaded Crochet Texture

Materials

• Yarn: Worsted weight yarn in deep pink
• Crochet Hook: Size H/8 (5.0 mm)
• Beads: Red glass beads with holes large enough for the yarn to pass through
• Needle: Yarn needle for weaving in ends

Gauge

12 stitches and 14 rows = 4 inches in single crochet

Abbreviations

• ch: chain
• sc: single crochet
• st(s): stitch(es)
• sl st: slip stitch
• bead: slip bead onto hook and then onto yarn

Instructions

1. Start: String 50 beads onto the yarn before beginning.
2. Foundation Chain: Ch 20 + 1 for turning.
3. Row 1: Sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across. (20 sts)
4. Row 2: Ch 1, turn. Sc in each st across.
5. Row 3: Ch 1, turn. Sc in first 5 sts, slide a bead close to the hook, sc in next st while keeping the bead on the right side of work. Repeat from * across the row until you have used 5 beads. (20 sts)
6. Repeat Rows 2-3: Continue this pattern, alternating rows with and without beads until desired length is achieved.
7. Finishing: Fasten off, weave in ends using the yarn needle.
