Chunky Pink Arm Knit Blanket Pattern

Materials Needed:

• 10 lbs of chunky pink roving yarn (approximately 100 yards)
• Optional: Pine cones for decoration

Gauge:

As this is an arm knitting project, gauge will vary depending on the tension. Aim for 2 stitches per 4 inches.

Instructions:

1. Set Up:
   Find a comfortable space to work, ideally a large table or clean floor area.
2. Cast On:
   Using your arms, cast on 18 stitches. To do this, make a slip knot and place it on your right arm. Use your left hand to pick up the working yarn and loop it over your right wrist, bringing the yarn through the loop from front to back. Release the loop and pull gently to tighten. Repeat until you have 18 stitches.
3. Arm Knit Pattern:
   
   1. Using your left hand, grab the working yarn. Slip the first stitch off your right arm, and pull the working yarn through from front to back, creating a new loop.
   2. Place this new loop on your left arm, gently pull to tighten. This transfers the stitch to your opposite arm.
   3. Continue across all stitches, so that all stitches move from your right arm to your left arm.
   4. Repeat steps a-c until your blanket reaches the desired length. A typical lap blanket length is about 60 inches.
4. Bind Off:
   To finish, knit two stitches onto your left arm as usual. Next, pull the first stitch over the second stitch and drop it off your arm to bind off. Knit another stitch, then pull the previous stitch over the new stitch. Rep this method until one stitch remains.
5. Finish:
   Pull the tail through the remaining loop and tighten to secure. Weave in any loose ends with your fingers.
6. Decoration (Optional):
   Attach the pine cones to the corners of your blanket using a hot glue gun or by sewing them on with matching yarn for a festive touch.
