Materials

• Worsted weight yarn in sage green

Instructions

Ribbed Band

1. Ch 10.
2. Row 1: Sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across. Turn. (9 sc)
3. Row 2: Ch 1, sc in blo of each st across. Turn. Repeat Row 2 until you have 70 rows, or the band fits comfortably around your head.
4. Join ends of the band with sl st to form a circle.

Main Body

1. Round 1: Ch 1, work 70 sc evenly around the edge of the band, sl st to first sc to join.
2. Round 2: Ch 1, hdc in each st around, sl st to first hdc to join.
3. Round 3-15: Repeat Round 2.

Crown Decrease

1. Round 16: (Hdc in next 5 sts, hdc2tog) repeat around, sl st to join.
2. Round 17: (Hdc in next 4 sts, hdc2tog) repeat around, sl st to join.
3. Round 18: (Hdc in next 3 sts, hdc2tog) repeat around, sl st to join.
4. Round 19: (Hdc in next 2 sts, hdc2tog) repeat around, sl st to join.
5. Round 20: (Hdc in next st, hdc2tog) repeat around, sl st to join.
6. Round 21: Hdc2tog around, sl st to join. Fasten off, leaving a long tail.
