  • fpdc: front post double crochet
  • bpdc: back post double crochet

Instructions

Brim

  1. Ch 10.
  2. Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. Turn. (9 sts)
  3. Row 2-72: Ch 1, sc in back loop only of each st across. Turn.
  4. Join ends with sl st to form a ring.

Body

  1. Round 1: Ch 1, sc around edge of brim. Join with sl st to first sc. (72 sts)
  2. Round 2: Ch 2, dc in each st around. Join with sl st to first dc.
  3. Round 3: Ch 2, *fpdc around next st, bpdc around next st,* repeat from * to * around. Join with sl st to first fpdc.
  4. Round 4-7: Repeat Round 3.
  5. Round 8: Ch 2, *dc in next st, dc in next st, dc2tog,* repeat from * to * around. Join with sl st to first dc.

Textured Body

  1. Round 9: Ch 1, *sc in next st, dc in next 2 sts,* repeat from * to * around. Join with sl st to first sc.
  2. Round 10-14: Repeat Round 9.

Keyhole

  1. Round 15: Ch 2, dc in next 10 sts, ch 10, skip next 10 sts, dc in remaining sts. Join with sl st.

Top Shaping

  1. Round 17: Ch 2, *dc in next st, dc2tog,* repeat from * to * around. Join with sl st to first dc.

Finishing

  1. Fasten off, leaving a long tail.
