Materials Needed:

• Worsted weight cotton yarn in teal, light blue, dark green, and orange (a small amount of each color will suffice)

Gauge:

Gauge is not essential for this project, but aim for about 5 stitches per inch with the Worsted weight yarn.

• sl st - slip stitch
• sc - single crochet
• dc - double crochet
• st - stitch
• Rnd - round
• inc - increase (2 stitches in 1 stitch)

Instructions:

1. Flower Base:
   With your chosen color for the flower (light blue), make a magic ring (or ch 4 and join to form a ring).
2. Round 1: Ch 2 (counts as first dc), work 11 dc into the ring. Join with a sl st to the top of the ch 2. (12 dc)
3. Round 2: Ch 2, 1 dc in the same stitch, *2 dc in next stitch* repeat from * to * around. Join with a sl st to the top of the ch 2. (24 dc)
4. Round 3: Change to your chosen color for the petals (teal). Ch 1, *1 sc in next st, 2 sc in next st* repeat from * to * around. Join with a sl st. (36 sc)
5. Round 4: For petals, Ch 3, dc in the first stitch, *sl st in the next sc, ch 3, dc in the same stitch* repeat from * to * around. Join with a sl st. (12 petals)
6. Fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing.
7. Center of Flower:
   With orange yarn, make a magic ring. Ch 1, work 6 sc in the ring. Join with a sl st. (6 sc)
8. Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing.
9. Place the orange center on top of the flower and sew it securely to the flower using your tapestry needle.
10. Finishing:
    Weave in all ends using the tapestry needle. You may trim any excess yarn if necessary.
