Crochet Vibrant Fruit Basket Amigurumi Hat Free Pattern

Materials Needed:

• Worsted weight yarn: White, Red, Orange, Green, Blue, Purple, Brown
• Crochet hook size G/4.0mm
• Tapestry needle
• Fiberfill stuffing

Abbreviations:

• ch: chain
• sc: single crochet
• dc: double crochet
• sl st: slip stitch
• st: stitch
• rep: repeat

Pattern Instructions:

Basket Hat Base:

1. With white yarn, ch 9. Sc in second ch from hook and across. Ch 1, turn. (8 sc)
2. Rep row 1 until you reach 16 inches for the band. Join ends with sl st.
3. Ch 1, sc around edge of band, joining with sl st to the beginning. Continue working in the round.
4. Work 10 rounds of sc around for the main body of the hat.

Fruits:

Cherry:

1. With red yarn, create a magic ring, work 6 sc in ring.
2. 2 sc in each sc around. (12 sc)
3. Sc in each sc around for 2 rounds.
4. Stuff lightly, close with sl st. Make two cherries and connect with brown yarn for the stem.

Orange Slice:

1. With orange yarn, create a magic ring, work 6 sc in ring.
2. 2 sc in each sc around. (12 sc)
3. Change to white yarn, *(sc, 2 sc in next sc), rep from * around. (18 sc)
4. Work a few dc spokes evenly around with white yarn. Finish with a border row of sc.

Kiwi:

1. With green yarn, create a magic ring, work 6 sc in ring.
2. 2 sc in each sc around. Continue increasing with alternating rows until diameter measures 3 inches.
3. With white yarn, work a row of sc for the border of the kiwi.

Berry Cluster (Blue and Purple):

1. With chosen color, create a magic ring, work 6 sc in ring.
2. Sc in each sc around for another round.
3. Stuff, fasten off and weave in ends. Cluster together with several berries.

Assembly:

• Arrange fruits at the top of the hat. Sew securely in place.
