Instructions
- Start with a Magic Ring: Wrap the yarn around your fingers and pull a loop through the center. Chain 3 (counts as first dc).
- First Round: 2 dc in the ring, then ch 2. *3 dc in the ring, then ch 2.* Repeat from * to * two more times. You should have 4 groups of 3 dc and 4 ch-2 spaces. Join with sl st to the top of the ch 3 to close the round.
- Second Round: Slip stitch to the first ch-2 space. Ch 3 (counts as first dc), then work 2 dc, ch 2, and 3 dc in the same space. In the next ch-2 space, work *3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc*. Repeat in each of the following ch-2 spaces. Join again with a sl st to the top of the ch-3.
- Third Round: Slip stitch to the first ch-2 space. Ch 3 (counts as first dc), then work 2 dc, ch 2, and 3 dc in the same space. For each of the next ch-2 spaces, repeat *3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc*. At the end, join with a sl st to the top of the ch-3.
- Change Colors: At any round's end, cut the yarn leaving about a 6-inch tail. Pull through the last loop to secure. Join the new color in the same ch-2 space where you left off.
- Continue Rounds: Repeat the third round pattern, changing colors as desired, until you reach your desired size, usually 4 to 6 rounds.
- Finishing: End with a round of single crochets in the last color. Fasten off and weave in all ends with a yarn needle.
