Materials
- Yarn: Light weight yarn in lavender (approximately 800 yards)
- Needles: US size 6 (4mm) circular needles, 32 inches or longer
- Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
- Blocking pins
Abbreviations
- CO: Cast On
- BO: Bind Off
- st(s): Stitch(es)
- k: Knit
- p: Purl
- yo: Yarn Over
- k2tog: Knit 2 together
Instructions
Crescent Shape Foundation:
- CO 3 sts.
- Row 1 (WS): Purl all sts.
- Row 2: K1, yo, k1, yo, k1. (5 sts)
- Repeat Row 1 and 2 until you have 85 sts.
Leaf Lace Section:
- Begin lace pattern:
- Row 1 (RS): k4, *yo, k2tog, k1; repeat from * to last 4 sts, k4.
- Row 2 (WS): purl all sts.
- Repeat Row 1 and 2 for 20 times or until desired size.
Garter Stitch Border:
- Continue in garter stitch (knit every row) for 10 rows to form the border.
Finishing:
- BO all sts loosely.
- Weave in all ends using the tapestry needle.
- Block the shawl to measurements, stretching lace points gently.
- Allow to dry completely before removing pins.
