Simple Knit Scarf

Materials

• Worsted weight yarn (approximately 200 yards in mustard color)
• Size 8 (5.0 mm) knitting needles
• Scissors
• Tapestry needle for weaving in ends

20 stitches and 26 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch.

Abbreviations

• CO - Cast On
• K - Knit
• P - Purl
• BO - Bind Off

Instructions

1. CO 30 stitches: Use the long tail method to cast on 30 stitches onto your left needle.
2. Row 1: K1, P1 across the row (this will create a textured ribbing).
3. Row 2: K1, P1 across the row.
4. Repeat Rows 1 and 2: Continue this pattern until your scarf measures approximately 60 inches long, or your desired length. This typically takes about 70 rows.
