Crochet Textured Striped Pillow Free Pattern

Materials Needed:

• Worsted weight yarn in three colors (A: Orange, B: Beige, C: Cream)
• Crochet hook size H/8 (5 mm)
• 16" x 16" pillow insert
• Tapestry needle
• Scissors

Abbreviations:

• ch = chain
• sc = single crochet
• hdc = half double crochet
• blo = back loop only
• rep = repeat
• st = stitch

Instructions:

Front Panel:

1. With Color A, ch 41.
2. Row 1: Sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across. Turn. (40 sc)
3. Row 2: Ch 1, sc in blo of each st across. Turn. (40 sc)
4. Rows 3-6: Rep Row 2. Change to Color B in last st of row 6.
5. Row 7: Ch 1, hdc in blo of each st across. Turn. (40 hdc)
6. Row 8: Ch 1, sc in each st across. Turn. (40 sc)
7. Rows 9-12: Rep Row 8. Change to Color C in last st of row 12.
8. Rows 13-14: Rep Row 7 with Color C. Change to Color A in last st of Row 14.
9. Rows 15-20: Rep Rows 2-6 with Color A.
10. Rows 21-22: Rep Rows 7-8 with Color B.
11. Rows 23-28: Rep Rows 13-18 with Color C.
12. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Back Panel:

1. With Color A, rep steps 1-10 of front panel.
2. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Assembly:

1. Place the front and back panels together with right sides facing out.
2. Join Color A at any corner and sc around the edge, working 3 sc in each corner. Leave one side open.
3. Insert the pillow form.
4. Sc the remaining side closed.
5. Fasten off, weave in any remaining ends.
